Making Foster Kids Smile

Birthdays are a special moment for every child. When Dr. Pankti Patel’s son turned five, she decided to throw his party at a foster care facility. Children of all ages from Azleway Children’s Services were invited to her son’s celebration. There was pizza, cake, drinks, and other treats for everyone to enjoy! The kids had a wonderful time playing games, and they did not leave the party empty-handed – they got goodie bags to take with them as well.

“They were super happy, and so were the parents,” Dr. Pankti said. "We got many blessings from them.”

Serving Enlisted Soldiers

Dr. Pankti isn’t just a dentist – she also serves as a Captain in the United States Army Reserves. In the military, there is an annual family day where soldiers are able to teach their loved ones about how they contribute to their missions.

Back in 2019, Dr. Pankti and her colleague officers and senior officers arranged a barbecue party by cooking everything for the enlisted soldiers. She wanted to do something special for them, as she believes they’re the real heroes and backbone of their unit. Dr. Pankti coordinated this event at a dental unit in Seagoville, TX, where she’s been serving since 2015.

The Grand Opening of The Elegant Dentistry

We wanted to make sure that our practice was community-focused from day one, meaning that we’re not only able to meet the needs of individuals, but Oak Point as a whole. We’ve guaranteed that this commitment is apparent and strong by working with city officials since the beginning, many of which attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony when we first opened! They as well as our team are all on the same page and are excited for what’s to come because our mission is to uplift absolutely everyone and make life better for the entire community.

School Outreach

Dr. Pankti and Dr. Jainisha want to help each of our patients enjoy optimal oral health for their entire life, and one of the best ways to do this is by educating children and teaching them good habits as early as possible. That’s why they have always prioritized school outreach.

In the past, they have donated hygiene goody bags to Fuller Elementary in Providence Village and even taken part in fairs at Rodriguez Middle School in Oak Point. There, they talked to students and answered all of their dental questions, plus they ran a fun wheel that allowed people to win prizes. These efforts strive to empower children and parents while also showing them that dentistry is nothing to be scared of, which can have lifelong implications when it comes to their smiles.

Oak Point Easter Event

While Oak Point families gathered for fun and games, our practice had a booth that offered even more opportunities to win prizes. Both dentists as well as members of our staff attended, and they loved having the chance to meet so many people and start getting to know locals face to face.

Establishing a connection with each patient is extremely important to us because we know that when you trust your dental team, you’re more likely to get the care you need and feel less anxious while doing so. While teeth are a big focus at our practice, we understand that our job is to take care of people first.
